JUST RECEIVED IT,SMALLER BOTTLE THAN I HAD EXPECTED,PAYED TOTAL OF 54.00- BITTER PEPPERY TASTE,THIS TELLS ME INDEED IT IS MEDICINAL,I PREVIOUSLY BOUGHT THE GOVERNOR EVOO,THIS ONE IS MORE BITTER,BUT I EAT BREAD DIPPED IN IT WITH PINK SALT i give it 5 stars

Because of the high polyphenol content, I did expect a bitter hit at the back of my throat — but this seemed subdued and smooth, and that’s with taking a tablespoon per shot. Service from Gourmet Groceries and shipping by DHL was top notch, and I’m looking forward to trying more of the unique products that they offer.

the taste and kick varies from harvest to harvest and i have also personally observed that as we get used to taking the high phenolic evoos daily , maybe the kick is still there but we don’t notice it as much !
