The Art of Champagne – A Tradition of Excellence
Champagne is more than just bubbles; it is a masterpiece of winemaking. Produced exclusively in the Champagne region of France, this iconic beverage undergoes a meticulous secondary fermentation process, known as the méthode champenoise, which creates its signature effervescence. Every sip delivers a harmonious balance of acidity, minerality, and refined fruit flavors, making it a timeless choice for connoisseurs and casual drinkers alike.
How to Enjoy Champagne at Its Best
To fully appreciate champagne, serve it well-chilled (between 8-10°C) in a flute or tulip glass to preserve its delicate bubbles and aromas. Champagne is best enjoyed fresh, but certain vintage and prestige cuvées can age beautifully for years, developing richer and more nuanced flavors over time.
Perfect for Every Occasion
Whether you’re celebrating a wedding, anniversary, promotion, or simply the joy of life, champagne elevates any moment. Even beyond grand celebrations, a glass of bubbly adds a touch of elegance to intimate dinners, brunches, and casual get-togethers.
Traditional Spirits – Authentic Mediterranean Heritage in Every Sip
The Mediterranean is home to a rich tradition of distillation, producing unique and time-honored spirits that have been enjoyed for generations. Crafted using local ingredients and age-old techniques, these spirits offer a true taste of their regions, each carrying a story of culture, craftsmanship, and tradition. Whether you prefer a bold and fiery aperitif or a smooth and aromatic digestif, our collection of traditional spirits brings you the finest from Greece, Cyprus, and beyond.
Tsipouro – Greece’s Bold Grape Spirit
Tsipouro is a strong, aromatic Greek spirit distilled from grape pomace—the skins, seeds, and stems left after winemaking. Traditionally produced in small copper stills, Tsipouro has a robust and earthy character with subtle fruity and herbal notes. Depending on the region, it can be unaged or aged in oak barrels, developing deeper flavors over time.
How to Enjoy: Often served neat or with a splash of water, Tsipouro is best accompanied by meze platters featuring olives, cheeses, and seafood. Some variations are infused with anise, giving them a slightly sweet and liquorice-like taste.
Zivania – The Spirit of Cyprus
Zivania is a traditional Cypriot distillate with a long history dating back to the Venetian rule in the 15th century. Made from a blend of grape pomace and wine, this clear and potent spirit carries a smooth yet fiery kick, with subtle aromas of dried fruit and spice. It is often compared to grappa but has a uniquely Cypriot character.
How to Enjoy: Zivania is typically served ice-cold, often as a welcoming drink in Cypriot homes. It pairs wonderfully with charcuterie, dried nuts, and local cheeses. Aged Zivania develops deeper, woody notes, making it a great choice for those who appreciate a more refined taste.
Ouzo – Greece’s Iconic Anise Spirit
Ouzo is one of Greece’s most famous spirits, known for its distinctive anise flavor and its ability to turn a milky white when mixed with water. This classic aperitif is made by distilling grape-based alcohol with anise, fennel, and other aromatic herbs, creating a sweet and herbal profile.
How to Enjoy: Ouzo is traditionally served over ice or mixed with cold water, releasing its characteristic cloudy appearance and intensifying its flavors. It is best enjoyed alongside grilled seafood, octopus, and traditional Greek meze dishes.
Commandaria: The Oldest Wine on Earth
Steeped in legend and history, Commandaria is Cyprus’ gift to the world of fine wines. Dating back over 5,000 years, this amber-hued dessert wine is recognized as the oldest named wine still in production. A true emblem of Cypriot winemaking tradition, Commandaria is crafted from sun-dried Xynisteri and Mavro grapes, undergoing a natural aging process that enhances its deep caramel, dried fruit, and spice notes.
Commandaria’s production is controlled and is regulated by national law, while its name has been protected at European level since 1990, when it was recognised as the first wine of Cyprus.
Only 14 villages hold the right to produce and use the name commandaria as a wine of controlled designation of origin.
