Overview
Bakeder is an exceptional Spanish wine born from the fortified medieval village of Laguardia, in the heart of Rioja Alavesa. Its name, derived from the Basque word for “beautiful as peace.” It is a poetic nod to the village’s serenity, history, and rich winemaking tradition.
Crafted exclusively from 100% Tempranillo grapes grown in the winery’s own vineyards. San Ginés and Castejones, spanning 8.78 hectares—this wine reflects the unique terroir of clay-calcareous soils at 550–600 meters of altitude.
Aged for 10 months in French oak barrels, Bakeder balances vibrant fruit with subtle oak complexity. It reveals deep, nuanced aromas, polished tannins, and a persistent finish. A wine of great structure and elegance, Bakeder captures the essence of Rioja Alavesa in every sip.
